Open Call for the Exhibition: Water - Tributaries and Fluidity

Curatorial Manifesto

All water is memory in motion.

It carries minerals and myths, mourning and celebration, ancestral knowledge and invisible data.

It is a river that divides into many—tributaries that arrive, add up, and together invent another current.

It is body, tear, and sweat; it is tide that insists, infiltrates, contours, dissolves borders.

We invite artists to dive into this liquid field: the water cycle and its politics of the sensitive; the relationship with urban and invisibilized rivers; the inner tides that move us; the routes of migration and crossing; water as care, ritual, nourishment; flood, drought, overflow; rainwaters and underground waters; reused waters, residual waters, and the future sketched within them.

We seek works that listen to water—not only represent it.

Proposals that allow themselves to be contaminated by its grammar: porous, adaptable, insistent.

Works that build bridges between technique and poetry, territory and body, science and fabulation.

That recognize water as archive and as political agent, as a place of encounter and healing.

• Clarity of proposition and strength of research.
• Media shared with good visibility.
• Ethical relationship with territories and communities (when applicable).
• Commitment to sustainable materials and processes.
• Diversity of perspectives, languages, and backgrounds.

• You may register as many works as you wish for FREE. All works submitted by the deadline with #Aguas2025 or #Water2025 in the description will be considered for selection.
• Works previously registered on the Arttere.org platform may participate, as long as they include #Aguas2025 or #Water2025 at the end of the description.
