This piece explores the idea of appearing more fragile than one actually is. It reflects on how strength doesn’t necessarily come from size or external appearance, addressing female stereotypes and how society shapes expectations of what women should or shouldn’t be. I was inspired by a French phrase that describes the heart as small and fragile, but I found myself feeling the opposite—strong and resilient—so I decided to reinterpret that idea. The choice of red is essential, as it connects to intense emotions like passion, strength, and anger, elements that challenge the fragility often associated with femininity and evoke the emotional complexity that lies beneath the surface.
