Alkistis Kafetzi is a Berlin based filmmaker and photographer. She was born in Athens, Greece in 1989 and since 2014 she has been living in Germany. She has a Bachelor in Theater Studies from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Diploma in Film Editing. During the years 2010-2014 she worked as an editor on several short fiction films and documentaries which were screened in film festivals in Europe and got two editing awards for her work on the short documentary "Doza" and the short film "Fragile". Since 2012 she has been collaborating with the Institute for Experimental Arts and the director Taso Sagri as a video artist for his theatrical productions ("Dying as a country" 2012, "Psychosis 4:48" 2013, "Night" 2017, „Metamorfosis” 2020. ) From 2014 till 2019 she was living and working in Munich. During that period she worked on video art projects and video installations (“Hell is Here” by Sofia Gika 2017, “Unplugged” 2018, “Wired Flesh” 2020 in collaboration with Vassiliki Biska). In 2016 she filmed her first short documentary “On the way” which premiered at the Tirana International Film Festival. From 2019 she lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
