Open Call - Impossible Cities
de 20 de novembro de 2024 até 12 de dezembro de 2024
Arttere Virtual Gallery
Submission Deadline : 12/12/2024
The
Arttere Institute invites artists from around the world to submit their works for our new exhibition, "
Impossible Cities".
This is an opportunity to explore the concept of cities that exist only in the imagination, transcending the boundaries of reality and conventional urbanism.
“Impossible Cities” challenges artists to imagine urban landscapes that defy the laws of physics, time, and social norms. These cities can be dreamlike, dystopian, or utopian—reflecting personal interpretations of what a city could be beyond our current limitations. The idea provokes questions about architecture, community, technology, and the environment, encouraging a broad spectrum of artistic expression.
Possibilities to Explore:
- Surreal Architectures: Structures that float, twist or mix nature with technology.
- Dystopian Futures: Cities shaped by climate change, social collapse or political unrest.
- Utopian Ideals: Visions of harmony, sustainability and innovative living.
- Cultural Narratives: Representations of cities that celebrate or criticize social constructions.
We accept a variety of media — painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, installation, and more.
